1 Thessalonians tells Christians to “do your own business, and work with your own hands,” to avoid idleness, which can lead men and women to become “busy bodies,” as mentioned in II Thessalonians 3:11.
Christian women’s outreach projects can unify a congregation and help turn prayer into action.
On the first Monday of each month, a group of women who are interested in helping in this mission field, meet at Northside Bible Chapel from 1:30 to 3:00pm. Our function is to make and/or purchase items that are then sent to missionaries in the African country of Zambia to help them in their work for Christ.
In October and April of each year, we send medical supplies, hygiene products, clothing, shoes, food, bedding, school supplies, Bibles, and Christian reading material (non-fiction).
These items are received by missionaries who are working in or running hospitals, clinics, a guest house, a girls’ home and one who is teaching at a Christian school and overseeing a boys’ dorm.
